#ScorpioReviews - Thor Love and Thunder

I heard many mixed reviews from Thor Love and Thunder but mostly they were bad reviews. But I really don't understand why. From the beginning the movie starts great. Brief description of the villain and on to what has been going on with Thor. We learn about what is going on with the Guardian Of The Galaxy and why they leave. Also, we learn what happened to Jane Foster. I wasn't sure what route they will take to return her. Either a Multiversal version, sudden appearance or actually explaining what happened to her. Glad they explained what had happened to Jane all this time and how she becomes Mighty Thor. Now the comedy, yes, at times seems like too much. But the comedy was nice and fitted the moments. I don't think it was childish  maybe excessive at times but it was fun. The comedy was well written and well place. The movie had great and constant comedy moments but the fighting scenes were also amazing. The fights combined with the soundtrack were amazing. I really don't see why many attacked this movie as they did. It had a well elaborated plot, new characters, comedy, action, tension and many nice surprises. Meeting the Gods was great. Something knew and we were hinted this plot will continue. Even do a lot was going on on this movie nothing was actually rushed. Maybe the first minutes but it was well done. We didn't really need much information, they gave enough and then continued to the new stuff. Gorr as a villain was great. Maybe if he appeared a few more minutes would have been better but his fights were great. Introducing Heimdall's son, Zeus, and even Hercules was a nice touch. Now there was one thing Im not sure why they decided to do it like that. There was a huge rumor that Thor died on this movie. I guess it was correct since Mighty Thor aka Jane Foster dies. But why did she died? Gorr could have desire anything. He seem like he redeem himself. He even thought that if he resurrected his daughter she would be alone. So he could have chosen to cure Jane Foster and he could have been with her daughter in the afterlife. But maybe even when redeeming himself he wouldn't been able to be with her. But Thor raising a villains daughter was unexpected. I was even more surprised to know that the character "Love" is Chris Hemsworth actual daughter. I believe she might be the character Mistress Love from the comics. She is supposed to be the physical representation of the actual feeling Love. That will need more explaining, later on. Still I believe Mighty Thor could have at least continued for a few more movies. Maybe it was that Natalie Portman wanted to end her character now so she wouldn't be tied to future Marvel projects? Maybe because of Natalie's age but then again it's not much difference than Chris's age. Or maybe the story was written like that since the beginning. But still seeing how it ended, she could still potentially come back at least for a special moment (maybe SecretWars?) Also, it seems Thor might be getting a new Trilogy like Spider-Man and that would be great. Not sure if this Eternity version is the same shown in the Marvel Guardian Of The Galaxy video game but felt it could have been explained further. Also, not sure if they will mention or explain something related to the Eternals later on. The movie had enough of everything and hinted several new characters and a probable plot that the Guardians Of The Galaxy could take for their movie.

Overall, this was a great movie. My conclusion is that people hated this movie because Jane died and people wanted her to continue in the MCU. But again, we don't know if this was an actors decision or a character decision. Maybe they wanted to make an impact on Thor life and this was the best way. Still I beleieve this movie had a lot of good stuff and people should rewatch ot without the tension and mystery of the first time. This was a great movie that I would definitely recommend. I will rate it an 8.5. It was great, fun, intense and even sad but yes there were moments that could have been done slightly better. I was close to giving it a 9 but for different reasons it compares more to other 8.5 movies.

****Anyways, I think I know why people are starting to hate Marvel's projects from Movies to Series. People are now expecting major crossover events in Every movie! They are forgetting these are sequels or continuations of other movies. Ever since Spider-Man No Way Home people are expecting huge Characters to meet. Even do No Way Home also wasn't what people expected. If you watch closely Marvel's MCU Phase 4 the best actual complete movies are between ShangChi, Doctor Strange and Thor since BlackPanther hasn't released yet. These 3 movies had an actual well written script. It had great plots, comedy, action, information, and character development. BlackWidow was ok but felt incomplete like it needed more. Spider-Man No Way Home was really just a fan service. NoWayHome movie plot was rushed and they just kept adding stuff even do some moments didn't make sense or contradict with another event. Also, many criticize on the comedy shown on Movies and Series but this format has been around since IronMan 1. The difference is that back then we were discovering the main Avengers on each movie until they unite. Now we are seeing new heroes and villains most people dont recognize. Also, now we are having more Adult moments we never saw back then. They are that huge moments but we are seeing more Love, Language, Violence Hororr and some even gore scenes we never saw before. So people should just watch these movies as they come along and later a crossover event will happen. They said the next major crossover event could happen in SecretInvasion. ***

#ScorpioReviews The Black Phone

This movie ever since the first trailer looked interesting. Now available in the streaming service, Peacock. Talks about some cases of missing children but with a supernatural twist. A kidnapper known as the Grabber takes children and murders them. It is different that most of these kind of movies. You leave with a semi satisfying feeling after it's done. There is still the tragedy of the first children who were kidnapped and killed. But when the last kid, Finn, is taken he manages to to kill The Grabber and return safely home with his family. Finn was able to escape thanks to the voices of the dead children. Through a broken phone Finn received instructions on what to do to escape. Each kid gave him a tip on how to prepared for the final confrontation with The Grabber. It was a really good movie set in the year 1978. We see the lives of several children and their lifestyle on school. Then each is kidnapped by a man in a black van know as The Grabber. What makes this movie different is that Finn is able to listen to the previous dead children through a broken black phone. Also, his sister is able to receive premonition on her dreams. But she isn't able to control them so she ask God for help. The rest seems like other movies. A crazy man kidnapping kids, held them in a basement, playing and torture them until he finally kills them.
Overall it is a great movie. You can feel the tension and suspense every moment Finn is being held captive. Definitely, recommend it to watch. I will rate it an 8.5. The movie got  right to the point but also explained each moment adequately. We got the necessary information to know what is going on, plus we got extra details and scenes to add up to the characters development. We got to know well the main characters and they are described in a real and believable way. A real story was well told plus the supernatural addition adds to the interest of the movie. A great well made movie with a great plot, cast and script.

#ScorpioReviews Prey

The movie starts with a comanche girl trying to prove herself she is ready to hunt. Along with her dog she almost caught a deer but it got away. After a predator is seen descending to the forest. The tribe go in search of a missing tribe member. They found him further ahead injured so they help him and carry him back home. Taabe the older brother goes after the lion that attacked their villager. Naru, the comanche girl, is a great tracker and found out unknown animal tarcks so she knew that her brother could be in trouble so went back to warned him. She found out they were already tracking the lion. After being attacked Naru fell unconscious and her brother carry her back home. Later Taabe came back with the body of the dead lion he had defeated and everyone celebrated.

But Naru knew there was something else out there alot more dangerous than the lion. She told her brother to go together to find it but he refused. The next day she decided to go out and trained her hunting skills. After successfully hunting several rabbits she decided to go after the unknown creature. But the Predator was already tracking her. When she try to hunt a bear she failed and almost got eaten by the bear. But the Predator came to kill the bear and she manages to escape on time. She was later found by members of her tribe send by hee brother to look for her. She warned them about the creature but didn't believe her. Not until they all confronted the creature together. They all fought him and injured him but he still killed them all. The Predator defeated them all by himself. Naru kept trying to escape and was found by another tribe member that was also killed. She kept running until she was caught in a trap by French Trappers. They wanted to know more about the creature. They had already trapped her brother Taabe. Since she refused They used Naru and Tabe as bait for the Predator. Naru realized the creature hadn't killed her before because it didn't believe she was a threat. It like to hunt what he believed could be threats. So the Predator didn't went after them but instead fornthe Trappers. The Predator fought and defeated the French Trappers by using all his skills and gadgets. While he fought them Naru and Taabe managed to escape.

Naru went back to rescue her dog and had to killed the remaining Trappers to do it. Taabe went to steal a horse. While healing a Trapper that teach her how to use the powder gun the Predator arrives. Naru notices it can't see him because he was cold. He still kills him because the Trapper screamed when he stepped on him. When the Predator is about to kill her dog, her brother comes on a horse and hits him on the head which removes the Predator helmet. They fought him together and manage to injured it more but Taabo ends up dying. He told her that she would be the one to defeat him. Again Naru managed to survived because she wasn't considered a threat. Naru prepared herself to fight the Predator and avenge her brother. She captured a Trapper to use him as bait. Then she ate the plant that made her blood cold. She waited until he killed the Trapper to shot him on the back of the head and removed his hemlet. Then she run an hid on the trees and jump him by surprised. Even used the Predator own weapon to cut his arm. With the help of her Dog she managed to survived and continued fighting him. She trapped him on the Quicksand and then she used his own helmet to make it killed the Predator. At the end she cut his head as a Trophy and returned to her village. She warned her people of the Trappers so they had to move to safer lands. Everyone saw her with respect for killing the creature and returning alive after her fights.

This movie released on a Hulu & Disney+ streaming service. It received a lot of good reviews. Many liked the script, cast, picture, female empowerment and the culture presentation. Honestly, it was a great movie. The characters development was accurate. The tension build up and realism made a greater impact on the movie. There were so much details that took us back to that era. It was a great movie but maybe some exaggerated it a bit. I did like the locations, plot and cast. But maybe it was a bit rushed. It didn't ruin the experience but maybe they could have elaborated on some parts at least a little bit more. It was nice seeing how the protagonist Naru, learned from her mistakes and kept improvingherself. At the beginning she was a great tracker but a bad hunter. But as the movie progress we saw how she kept improving little by little. Up until the end on which the inexperienced hunter end up defeating the best hunter they knew. The dog companion was great. It is usually a torture to see a dog on a movie because they usually kill them. But not on this movie and they even made the dog an important part of the movie. Now this movie is supposed to occurred 300 years before the original Predators movies. We didn't saw much of how or why he chose this planet. But it seems it was a Predator that was just having fun. As if he just chose that place to hunt them for fun without any specific reason. Also, didn't have the full gadgets as the others but still had many similar weapons. Now I realize there were to versions. The original English movie and the dub Comanche language. Not sure which one I watch. I read that the original movie was meant to be watch in the comanche language. When Fox was acquired by Disney they made the original language of the movie English. But the original script drafts were in comanche. Still today most of the production members and the cast recommended watching it in the comanche language for a more inmerverse experience. So Im not sure on which version I watched it but I noticed as if the movie was dubbed. Sometimes the voice seemed as if it didn't match the picture. Or maybe it was the way they acted, still not sure.
Overall, I really enjoyed the movie. I wouldn't put it at the level some said it was but it was good. I will rate it 8.0. Definitely recommended, a must watch. The level of details, character development, suspense, action scenes made it a quality production.

#ScorpioReviews Lightyear

First, I didn't even know what to expect. Was this the Buzz Lightyear that got stuck on a toy? Did his mission inspire movies and toys? How was the toy alive? Is this an alternate story? Is Buzz just a movie in ToyStory universe? Really didn't even know the exact timeline. But hoping they will clarify if this will be connected to the ToyStory universe.

This movie is about Buzz Lightyear and Alicia Hawthorne who are Space Rangers. The movie starts when Buzz decides to explore a planet where they detected lifeforms. But once they landed they encounter creatures that attack them. Then they are stuck there forever. Buzz is the only one who attempts to find a way out and go back home. On his attempt to escape Buzz must reach hyperspeed. But he fails constantly and everytime he fails he travels years into the future. So, as his friends keeps aging normally Buzz stays the same. He keeps going over 100 years and he reach the time when his friend Alisha dies and even got to meet his friend's granddaughter Izzy Hawthorne. Buzz even receives a companion Cat bot which help him through his mission. As he keeps going he eventually works with his new team and learns to trust them to succeed.
When Buzz finally founds the fuel needed to return home a new villain appears. His name is Zurg. He is after Buzz to get him to help him go back home. Due to his new team inexperience he constantly fails to keep the fuel and finally Zurg gets the fuel and also takes Buzz. It is later revealed that Zurg is actually Buzz from the future. He explained that with that fuel they could use it to go back in time to prevent any of this to happen. When older Buzz tries to explain his plan, Buzz realizes that if he helps older Buzz then his new team would disappear. Also, his friend Alisha Hawthorne wouldn't have had the family & life she had on that planet. Everyone will disappear if they go back in time. Buzz decides to fight back and with the help of his new team manages to stop older Buzz and go back to the planet they were. Once they land they were greeted by the new commander. He told Buzz he would create a new Space Ranger program and he could choose his new team. But Buzz chose the Rookie team and use the new suit, resembling the Suit from ToyStory. The movie's postcredit scenes showed that Zurg, older Buzz, survived.

It was a Good movie. The soft Comedy and and action scenes keeps you entertained. Also, the lessons they gives us are nice but not too emotional. But I believe the plot was too much. Too complicated for a family movie. The whole time travel, aging, missions didn't really make sense for a movie like this. Another thing is the connection with the ToyStory franchise. I believe they didn't actually mentioned much.
At the begging of the movie they say Andy got a toy from his favorite movie and that this was that movie. So it seems the whole BuzzLightyear is a fictional movie in the ToyStory universe. They probably should have chosen another conflict to make the movie more simple. Still it is a good watch. It also had great action scenes for a Kids movie. The excitement and tension was constantly there. Overall I would recommend this movie. I would give it a 7.0. It was a good movie but since it was base on a huge franchise, I feel it should have been better. Still the soft, dry Comedy was well placed and the excitement of the movie was great.

The Gray Man

The Gray Man is a Fully Action pack movie. Action, JameBond style with touches of comedy. It is about an agency that hires prisioners to take care of special secret missions. But when a secret video revealing compromising evidence of illegal activities from one of their directors is found, the whole plot kicks off. They hire Six (Ryan Gosling) to recover the evidence but he discovers the truth about the agency and decides to keep the Flashdrive with the video. The agency hires Lloyd (Chris Evans) a crazy mercenary that uses unorthodox methods to complete his missions. Loyd goes after Six old mentor Fitz to recover the flash drive. But when his attempt fails, he kidnaps Fitz's granddaughter Claire (Julia Butters) to pressure him. Meanwhile a CIA agent named Dani Miranda (Ana De Armas) is caught in between. She is accused of helping Six in stealing the Flashdrive. Which later does ends up helping Six. Lloyd sends everything the agency has to find and kill Six in order to recover the Flashdrive. Six ends up escaping until their final showdown on a Maze. Another Agent named Suzanne Brewer (Jessica Henwick) ends up being the one to kill Lloyd. She even intends to keep Fitz's granddaughter to have control over Six and use him for her special missions. But Six manages to escape the hospital and goes after Claire to save her. At the Six and Claire where reunited and left together.

The actions scenes on this movie where amazing. From the explosions, chases, and Fighting choreography, they were all very well done. The cast was also amazing with the actors Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, Ana De Armas, and even the little Julia Butters were the ones who stole the show. They were the main characters and each did wonderfully on their characters. Maybe the only big critic for this movie might be the predictability. Most of the time you already knew what was going to happen several scenes before. Also, the sweet connection between Six & Claire was very well done. How they manage to connect despite the few moments they spent knowing each other felt real. Besides Julia Butters was a nice revelation, despite being a young actress she did so good that she made a huge impact on the movie. But what probably made the biggest impact on this movie were Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans characters. They seem relaxed and like they really enjoyed working on this movie. Six and Lloyd's individuals scenes were amazing but what was also great and fun was when they interact with each other. Ryan Gosling made a great character by showing a though, caring special agent. After everything je did on his job and all the deaths je still showed a character that cared and wanted to to the right thing. Six accepted who he was and was thankful to the people that help him. No matter how bad the situation got he still tried to help the people he cared about. While Chris Evans made a complete opposite character in comparison. Lloyd was a crazy, uncontrolled mercenary. He was willing to do anything he could to complete his mission. Lloyd tortured, killed and went after his targets love ones to get through them. The way Chris Evans portrayed this character was just perfect. Feom the look to the attitude he gave it. Plus the touches of comedy from characters was just enough to add to the movie entertainment.

Overall I really enjoyed the movie. It was a great entertaining movie filled with just what it needed. I will rate it 8.0. I didn't go higher just because it was very predictable and because they probably needed a plot twist or something to add to the tension. But it is a great movie that I greatly recommend. Great plot, cast, special effects and also amazing locations.

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero (July 19, 2022) [Summary & Review with *SPOILERS*]

Dragon Ball Super Super Hero (July 19, 2022)
[Summary & Review with *SPOILERS*]

**SPOILERS**SPOILERS**SPOILERS **SPOILERS**SPOILERS**SPOILERS **SPOILERS**SPOILERS**SPOILERS

"Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero" is the latest Dragon Ball movie released in June 11, 2022 in Japan. The movie took a different approach than the usual Dragon Ball movies. We got to see more of secondary characters. We saw the return of the Red Ribbon Army and how they survived after all this time, Piccolo training Pan, new transformations, Cell, androids, older Goten & Trunks, Broly etc. We saw Dr. Gero grandsons, Dr. Hedro. He wanted to create Heroes but didn't had the funds to fulfill his dream. He was manipulated into helping the Red Ribbon Army destroy the Z Warriors. A genius with the capacity to create powerful Androids. He created 2 strong androids called Gamma #1 & Gamma #2 believed to be as strong as Goku & Vegeta. Also, manage to created a new Cell called Cell Max with the Data of the Red Ribbon Army. But Cell Max was released before he was ready and they weren't able to control him. Piccolo has been training Pan seriously and teaching her new skills. He was later confronted by the Android Gamma #2 but Piccolo was defeated. Piccolo decided to follo Gamma #2 to his hideout and learned everything about their plans by infiltrating the new Red Ribbon Army's base. He tried to contact Goku & Vegeta with the help of Bulma but Whis never noticed the message. Since he felt Gohan wouldn't be much help he used the Dragon Balls to Unlock his potential and Shenron even gave him a new transformation because of the respect he had for him. We also learned that Bulma had been using the Dragon Balls constantly to stay young. Piccolo later learned of the plan the Red Ribbon Army had of kidnapping Gohan's daughter, Pan, in order to get his attention. Piccolo and Pan used that to help Gohan Awakened his will to fight. Which he did and manage to fight Gamma #1. Piccolo too managed to fight Gamma #2 thanks to his new powers.
Meanwhile, Goku Vegeta and Broly kept training on Beerus planet. Vegeta trying to concentrate on the meditation part of his trying, Goku on his physical and Broly trying to control his full power. Broly was told to watch Goku and Vegeta fight to learn how they fought while controlling their strength.

After the Androids and Dr. Hedro realize they were actually helping the bad guys and not acting as real heroes they decided to stop fighting the Z Warriors and helped them instead to stop the Red Ribbon Army. But even then Cell Max was set loose. Cell Max was a giant Cell than was in the second transformation of the original Cell. He was very powerful so everyone join the fight to stop him. Even Goten & Trunks who decided to fused but end up doing the Fusión wrong. Cell Max weakness was on the too of his head but needed a real powerful hit. Gamma#2 decided to used his full power to stop him and sacrifice atvthe end. But Cell Max was still alived. Piccolo used his full power and even new transformation. He combined his new transformation which he called "Orange Piccolo" with his ability to grow huge. He tried to stop Cell Max on his own while Gohan prepared his attack. Since it was taking too long the rest of the Z Warriors join the fight again to help Piccolo. When Gohan noticed Piccolo was about to die, Gohan released his full power and achieved a new Transformation. Believed to be called "Beyond Ultimate". His powerful increased drastically and managed to finished Cell Max with a "Makankosappo" (Piccolo's Classic Attack) on which he managed to control and move it. At the end Dr. Hedro wanted to turn himself to the police. But they decided to forgive him and was given a chance to work for Bulma. The post credit scene showed the conclusion of Goku and Vegeta fight. The movie ended with Vegeta barely but finally defeating Goku.

This was a great movie.
With Great things but also bad stuff. One of the great things about this movie is that it focused on characters that rarely see and that they were starting to forget. While Goku & Vegeta are amazing and is always great when they are the protagonist. There is also times when we wished other Z warriors took the spotlight. This movie did that and Goku and Vegeta were not the protagonist. In fact, we don't see much of Goku or Vegeta. Even do the movie starts like most, that we see other characters and we think at the end of the fight Goku or Vegeta will save the day, well it didn't happened here. The focus of this movie is Piccolo, Gohan and maybe Pan. But mostly Piccolo and Gohan. Picks up on that constant situation when Piccolo keeps training and Gohan has concentrated on his work and studies. Another great thing is how we are connecting more and more to the GT universe. We finally got to see an older Pan, Goten, and Trunks. The past movie, Pan was still a baby so it was great to see her with more important scenes. We saw Piccolo training Pan which is also great. On GT Pan didn't really have someone to guide her and help her train properly. So it will be interesting to see how strong Pan could get. The movie started with great flashbacks from the original Dragon Ball to remember about the Red Ribbon Army. So we got to see the Red Ribbon Army and how they had survived all this time. Now, personally I always wanted the return of Cell, Broly staying as a new a ZWarrior like Goku or Vegeta, a transformation for Nameks, older Trunks & Goten, Gohan reaching SSBlue, among other stuff. We finally got that. We saw Broly training with Goku and Vegeta on Beerus planet. That is an interesting sneak peak of what we could expect. Also, the different style of Vegeta's training to achieve new powers. (Yeah, we know where this is going of you saw the new manga) But all that was kind of a tease. Them we saw for a while Trunks and Goten helping in the fight. We really need to see more of Goten and Trunks. They should be wsy stronger than Gohan. If Gohan could be stronger than Goku for being half human, then Goten & Trunks should achieve greater powers since they haven't stopped training since kids. We finally got Cell back. Well, something at least. Hopefully it is just a tease of what could happened in the future. Cell could return in many ways, and now that they officially shown him he could return as his Perfect Form again. There was a brief explanation that if they killed Cell Max his cells will scattered and explode anything around him. Those cells could go anywhere, we will see. Finally, Piccolo transformation. Thanks to Shenron Piccolo could Awakened his powers plus achieve a new transformation. Great, except it wasn't what I expected. What was that? Same for Gohan, he achieved a new transformation? But at what cost? Gohan and Piccolo transformation looked like something taken out of the fans. Piccolo just turned Berseken but he calls it "Orange Piccolo"? The design is bad, just bad. The face, color, and buff doesn't seem like a final transformation. Hopefully, he can transforms into something better and stronger. And Gohan? He reached Ultra Instinct? No wait Super Saiyan Ultra Instinct? Apparently it is called "Beyond Ultimate" Why? Who knows. Silver hair, in SuperSaiyan2 teen style, and orange eyes. But again, Gohan gets stronger just because, no logical reason.. Is it because he is half human half saiyan? Then why aren't Goten & Trunks even stronger, if they haven't stopped training? Plus almost for certain Pan will get really strong yet she is another Generation and less Saiyan. So Please, at least show Gohan go through some sort of intense training before giving him new powers. One of the lessons of DragonBall is that is you fight and prepared for something you can achieve it. But Gohan, does nothing and Surpasses or reaches Goku's or Vegeta's level like nothing, with no effort whatsoever. Show a brief scene of Gohan training at Beerus planet, Hyperbolic Time Chamber or a special room designed by Bulma. Then I thought Cell would Absorb Gamma #1 & #2 to reach Perfect Cell and then Goku, Vegeta or even Broly defeat him. Or let Piccolo and Gohan Blue beat him. But ok, it was nice to see Piccolo and Gohan in a serious fight.

Now another thing, they said Gamma #1 & #2 had Goku & Vegeta level. That explains why Piccolo couldn't beat Gamma #2 the first time. But later with his new transformation he managed to defeat him. Then Gohan said that neither Goku or Vegeta would have been able to defeat Cell Max on their own. That was ridiculous. Goku & Vegeta kept training and know even with Broly. They should be way stronger now. So, what did Gohan transformation was about. Was it a new transformation? Did he reach a new level Stronger than UltraInstinct? Or did he created a new transformation just for him? Hopefully it is explained later. But it is currently being called "Beyond Ultimate". Hopefully they don't said it is stronger than Goku and Vegeta. Because it didn't looked like Ultra Instinct, it had orange eyes, his hair looked like Super Saiyan 2 as a Teen and didn't even dodge Cell Max attack. Instead he resisted the punch. It would be absurd that Goku Surpassed God levels and achieved Ultra Instinct but Gohan got stronger without any effort. "Beyond Ultimate" transformation should be along Super Saiyan God or Super Saiyan Blue. Kind of Trunks Berseken Blue. While Piccolo's transformation "Orange Piccolo" should be a bit less in power than Gohan's new transformation.

Overall, the movie was great. Still feel there was more intensity and emotions on the final episodes of the Tournament of Power and on the Broly movie. Just feel a few things should have been done differently. Still, it was great so I would give it an 8.0 of Rating. A Great movie and definitely recommended to watch.
