#ScorpioReviews - Knock at the Cabin

One of the most noticeable things about the movie is its pace. It starts by going straight to the point and doesn't waste any time getting to the plot. There are some flashbacks that take a step back from the main plot. The movie is about a group of people who believe that the end of the world is coming. They think they know a way to stop it and go to a cabin to convince the family there.

I can't say much more because I believe the revelation is kind of the only purpose of the movie. Overall, it was a good movie but very predictable. There weren't any real plot twists because you knew where they were heading, especially if you're familiar with filmmaker Night Shyamalan's work. We knew it couldn't be a normal movie, but coming from him, I expected a lot more.

As a production, it was well-made but followed a very simple and predictable plot. I would still recommend it to some people, but it lacked an important plot twist or something to cause a major impact. Also, the reasons or purposes of the characters were kind of weak. We didn't have enough information to make it more believable or to confuse the audience into thinking about both possibilities.

It feels like the movie was rushed or as if it wasn't given much importance to fully review it before release. Maybe it was done simultaneously with another production? I can't really tell, but it definitely feels like a lot more could have happened in this movie. I would rate it 6.5 out of 10 - not for being a bad movie, but for wasting a story that could have explored the plot and characters in greater depth.

Rating: 6.5
