#ScorpioReviews Morbius

Morbius

Morbius had many kinds of reviews but most said it didn't live up to its expectations. Most people considered it a bad movie. Honestly I think it was fine. It was another typical Sony movie, but that seems to be their way of making comic book movies.

The main issue is the same as Venom 1 & 2, they rushed the movie. They got right to the point without elaborating on the plot. Much like Venom they created a great character but with a very weak plot. They are probably desperate to start their Sinister Six movie that they rushing in all the content and just presenting all their Characters as soon as possible. Even do it's a Marvel collaboration, it's obvious that Sony extremely limits Marvel's interaction in these movies. Most Marvel projects focus on making a solid script, plot, serious casting process,  serious producers, directors and awesome Comic adaptations. Sony mostly just focus on the money. As long as it sells it's fine to them. They even got into problems with false advertisements. They presented complete trailers of removed content or content that was never going to be in the movie. Why does this movie feel more rushed than the rest? Well, there are many moments on the movie when they tried to present a problem that could've had a twist. But it never had. The problems were usually resolved seconds later in that same scene. Even scenes when you should feel, Oh what will happen to certain character, were pointless. You knew what will happened seconds or minutes later. It wasn't like most movies were they present an issue, move on to another scene and then comeback to resolve the problem. That didn't happen here. They didn't gave you time to speculate or worry about anyone. Maybe it had one good Plot Twist, maybe. Now the CGI and fight scenes were pretty good. Morbius fights didn't looked like usual Super-powered movie fights. Here they looked more like fights in a video game. Fast paced, special effects, and right were they needed them. The super abilities, and visulas of the movie were pretty good. Jared Leto much like Tom Hardy did an amazing job for their characters. Maybe next time Sony should greatly considered on letting Marvel take care of the script.

Overall it was a fine movie with a very weak script, weak plot, weak supporting characters but a great Protagonist. They did a great job on presenting the Morbius character and Jared Leto did amazing. Now, the last last scene was pretty bad. The content of that scene was great because we know what it's coming in future films, but how it happen was very lazy. They literally just specifically said it and then it was over. Also, obviously they filmed that scene separately. One was full CGI so he wasn't there. The other just said empty words at no one but later they just clip them together. They were probably recorded for different moments and at the end wjen editing they decided just to place them together. That was bad but kind of funny. So my final rating will be a 6.0. I wanted to give it a 7.0 or 6.5 but the small details and overall movie was more for a solid 6.0. Again it was not a bad movie but it was just a fair and enjoyable movie.

Rating: 6.0
